Description | New Era Energy & Digital, Inc. has entered into a land option purchase agreement for approximately 3,500 acres in Lea County, New Mexico, to develop a large-scale AI data center campus. The project includes plans for more than 2 gigawatts of natural gas generation and a proposed 5+ gigawatt nuclear installation, with initial power delivery expected in 2028. Engineering is expected to begin within 30 days for site evaluation and planning. This is New Era's first wholly owned project independent from its Texas Critical Data Centers joint venture, and the company plans to offer powered shell buildings and land lease options for AI enterprises. |
