The project is developed by Dallas-based Stream Data Centers and is expected to start construction in 2026, with basic operations beginning in 2027 and full operation by 2030. The project faces opposition due to environmental, noise, and utility rate concerns, and requires approval from Alabama’s Planning Board and a state environmental review. |
