Description | The consortium of Cengiz, Kolin and Limak won the tender of the Akdeniz grid on the Mediterranean. The consortium won the bid for the Akdeniz grid with an amount of $546 million. The tender was held based on highest price paid. The Akdeniz grid services 1.5 million customers. The tenders were approved by the Board of Privatization in March 2013. The consortium reached financial closure in May 2013 in the amount of $2.5 billion, together with the Bogazici power grid. The lenders were seven Turkish banks, including: Isbank, Garanti Bank, Yapi Kredi, Halkbank, Deniz Bank, Vakifbank and Ziraat. The loan had a tenor of 12 years. |
