Description	Alabama Polyplex (USA) LLC is planning to expand its 180,000-sq-ft polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film manufacturing plant in Decatur. The project scope includes construction of a 200,000-sq-ft building expansion; debottlenecking of the resin production lines; installation of a biaxially oriented PET film line; and purchase and installation of silos, mixers, extruders, resin dryers, conveyors and chillers. The expansion will increase film production capacity by 110 million lb per year and captive resin production to 190 million lb from 127.9 million lb per year. Germany-based Lindauer Dornier GmbH will supply the BOPET line.
