The bridge closure starts on Thursday night and is expected to last about a year. To facilitate the demolition, all northbound lanes of Highway 59 between US-288 and the Alabama Street bridge will be closed from Friday until Monday morning, followed by a closure of the southbound lanes a week later. The bridge is scheduled to reopen on February 8, 2027. |
