Description | Construction has started on the city of Alabaster's $43 million, 105,000-square-foot recreation center. The complex will include indoor facilities, an outdoor aquatic area, a library, and several conference and performance spaces. The indoor facility will have three gymnasiums, a walking track, exercise rooms, party and event rooms, and multipurpose spaces. The outdoor aquatic area will feature a splash pad and leisure pool with lap swimming lanes. The library will be 19,000 square feet, nearly three times the size of the existing library. The site also includes an outparcel for future retail use. |
