Description

Description

The project's goal is to increase understanding, planning, and use of Carbon Farming practices that will benefit soil and water in agricultural operations by conducting a feasibility study to assess the potential for applying compost to rangelands. ACRCD will evaluate the effectiveness of carbon-beneficial practices to increase soil carbon content, general soil health, and agricultural water use through the evaluation of various conservation practices. The carbon sequestration and water use efficiency will be documented along with co-benefits from the implementation of compost application, additional riparian, wetland, vegetative conservation practices, and other carbon-beneficial practices.
