Description	Alaska Airlines handles approximately 85% of all commercial airline flights in and out of Alaska, and was in need of a new dual-bay hangar. Kiewit constructed the new 100,800 SF facility, which includes a two-story ancillary space, open-concept offices, training/locker rooms, dispatch room, fabrication shop, tools and parts storage, retail shop, reception area, and 4,000 SF of covered parking. Mechanical features include aircraft exhaust fans, de-stratification fans, radiant-floor heating, five vertical fabric hangar doors, apron paving, and lighting. This dual-bay aircraft maintenance hangar was designed to accommodate Alaska Airlines’ Boeing 737 Max 9s.
