The project includes associated processing plants and is expected to cost $38.7 billion based on a 2020 estimate. The project is pursued by energy developer Glenfarne on behalf of the state of Alaska. The project is seeking financing and investment, with expressions of interest from firms but no firm commitments yet. The U.S. Energy Department may provide loan guarantees to support the pipeline construction. |
