Alaska LNG Project

The Alaska LNG project involves moving North Slope gas down an approximately 800-mile pipeline to a liquefaction terminal for export to Asian customers. The project is planned as a two-phase build, with Phase One focusing on a large diameter pipeline to meet Alaska's domestic energy needs, and a later phase adding the LNG terminal and related infrastructure targeting 20 million tonnes per annum of export capacity. The project has a proposed cost of about US$44 billion and is progressing with engineering and cost assessments, equipment supply agreements, and gas sales agreements with major companies.
