Description | This regional gas distributor for Jambyl has charter capital of Tenge 3,772,118. Shareholders are the Kazakh State (47.2%), employees (16.8%), Karatau-Invest (10%), Almas-Avto-Invest (9.5%), Begat-Invest (9.5%), Kair-Dostar (5%) and Taraz-Invest (2%). All private parties acquired stakes in coupon auctions in December 1994. The divestiture revenues raised by the government in those coupon auctions were US$20,235 (Tenge 1.09 million) in 1994. As of 2000, KazTransGaz (KTG), a subsidiary of KazMunayGas, Kazakstan's national oil and gas company, was set up to maintain, manage and operate the entire gas distribution network in Kazakhstan. Consequently, there were no private sponsors that owned or managed the gas distribution network, since KTG was the sole owner of the network.
