The regional gas distributor serving Southern Kazakhstan with charter capital of Tenge 46,330,000. Shareholders are the Kazakh state (20%), employees (50%), Alaugaz (10%), Sipan-Invest (10%) and Turan-Invest (10%). All private stakes were acquired at coupon auctions on December 22, 1994. The divestiture revenues raised by the government in those coupon actions totaled US$17,400 (tenge 940,000). As of 2000, KazTransGaz (KTG), a subsidiary of KazMunayGas, Kazakstan's national oil and gas company, was set up to maintain, manage and operate the entire gas distribution network in Kazakhstan. Consequently, there were no private sponsors that owned or managed the gas distribution network, since KTG was the sole owner of the network. Also, as of 2000, Alaugas was no longer listed on the Kazakh Stock Exchangce (KASE)
