Albany Acres Manufactured Home Community Land Purchase

completed

Residents of Albany Acres, a manufactured home community in Albany, New Hampshire, organized as a cooperative to buy the land beneath their homes from Patrick Houghton of Ranger Properties. The cooperative operates the property as a nonprofit corporation, giving residents control over rent increases, repairs, and the future of their neighborhood. The community plans to manage the property democratically, including decisions on rents, spending, and repairs, with an expected lot rent increase to fund infrastructure improvements such as septic upgrades.
