Description | A major repair project on the arterial roadways connecting the Empire State Plaza to Interstate 787 in Albany. The multi-year initiative aims to replace expansion joints, mitigate water infiltration, and restore concrete and structural components. The project is expected to last approximately three years. Eastbound lanes will be reduced to one lane with a temporary roadway for traffic merging onto I-787 and Routes 9 and 20. Westbound traffic remains unaffected, and access to Swan Street and the arterial loop will stay open. The project is part of a $12 million state-funded plan to enhance safety and infrastructure. |
