Alberta to West Coast Oil Pipeline

Premier Danielle Smith has Alberta stepping up as a proponent of a pipeline to the West Coast. Such a pipeline would give Alberta oil access to world markets, allowing for better prices per barrel and expanded markets. Currently, Alberta oil is mostly sold to the US at discounted prices due to being landlocked, except for the Trans Mountain Expansion which will soon be at capacity. The project was previously approved by the Harper government but was cancelled by Justin Trudeau's government. The pipeline would connect Alberta to the northern British Columbia coast and related port and marine shipping, and was demonstrated to be safe and environmentally responsible with large economic benefits.
