Description

Description

This project is phase one of new location and widening of existing location through the Jones Avenue/Simpson Street/Alexander Street (JSA) Corridor in Atlanta's Central Business District. This project is located along Alexander Street and West Peachtree Place between Luckie Street and West Peachtree Street within the city limits of Atlanta. More specifically, the project begins at the intersection of Luckie Street and Alexander Street, and continues on Alexander Street to West Peachtree Street, creating a two-way street along Alexander Street and abandoning West Peachtree Place. The corridor will include four travel lanes, 5' bike lanes, 10' sidewalks and a variable width raised median where the right-of-way allows it. This corridor improves pedestrian access and vehicle mobility near the Aquarium, the World of Coke and the Georgia World Congress Center.
