The pumps were integrated into the existing plant despite significant logistical and engineering challenges due to their size and weight, with each pump weighing around ten tonnes. The pumps deliver a maximum flow rate of 9,000 litres per second and a head of about 100 metres, featuring dual-speed electric motors for enhanced energy efficiency and large free passages for improved reliability when handling raw wastewater. |
