Algeria - Constantine Highway Bypass Project

The Constantine Motorway Bypass Project is part of the progressive construction of the Maghreb motorway and the East/West motorway in Algeria. In addition, it intends to continue the actions undertaken by the government to improve transport conditions by developing road infrastructure, with priority given to avoiding large urban areas. Two main achievements are expected, including: (i) the construction of a dual carriageway with 3 lanes each 3.5 m wide with a 2.5 m emergency stop strip; (ii) the construction of 11 non-common engineering structures and 49 hydraulic culverts. The project has three components, namely: (a) land acquisitions; (b) works as well as (c) control and monitoring.
