Description | The applicant, The County of Renfrew (ON) is seeking funds to rehabilitation and enhancement of all-seasons trail along decommissioned railway. Connects towns, villages and cities (and employment hubs) through length of the county. In addition to AT users, the trail is used by ATVs from May-November and snowmobiles during the winter. Besides the connectivity improvements, the applicant also states this project benefits with lower Green House Gas emissions (GHGe). GHGs will be greatly reduced as a result of this AT corridor and the reduction in automobile use for commuting, social outings, access to recreation centres and travel to and from school. |
