Description

Description

Core problem AGRA's central concern is to sustainably transform small-scale agriculture in Africa and the associated operating systems and value chains. To this end, the organization provides financial contributions and capacity-building support for local implementing partners who help improve productivity with their measures. Module objective Increasing agricultural income with improved structural framework conditions. To this end, the productivity of small-scale cultivation of food crops and their marketing shares are to be sustainably increased in selected regions of Nigeria and Burkina Faso. As part of a second project component, the capacities of managers in the agricultural sector in Africa are to be strengthened in order to advance national initiatives to transform agriculture. Key outputs The supported small farmers use cultivation methods that increase productivity. In addition, access to markets for agricultural inputs and access to financing for small farmers is improved. As part of the second component, the Centre for African Leadership in Agriculture was set up and completed by two classes. Target group 1,030,000 additional smallholder farmers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in selected target regions and value chains. The Leadership Initiative supports 160 leaders in the agricultural sector in Africa (public sector, private sector, civil society). Contribution to Agenda 2030 1. Permanently end poverty in all forms and everywhere 2. End hunger and create food security
