SMEs are identified to be key players in economic recovery and are significant drivers in achieving the targets for growth and jobs set in the Single Market Programme (SMP) and can positively impact the regional transition to a more socially and environmentally sustainable economy. Catalan SMEs are facing real and pressing challenges to integrate sustainability into their business strategy as they experience lack of knowledge and resources. The general objective of ATLAS (Allies for the Transition of business modeLs towArds Sustainability) is to assist partner SMEs and impact their business model towards sustainability, by enhancing interaction with experienced key actors with complementary skills. ATLAS aims to provide 2 SMEs, Colibri and CITSALP with enhancing innovation management capacities (EIMC) advisory and training services to improve the social and environmental sustainability performance and knowledge on sustainable business models, covering most of the SDGs with a special focus on SDGs 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12 and 13. harness the expertise of NGOs/CSOs to assist SMEs in their transition to more sustainable business models ACCIÓ, an experienced Enterprise Europe Network entity for business competitiveness, together with SBC, a social non-governmental organisation, and TecnoCampus, an environmental business and innovation support foundation, will guide Colibri and CITSALP in their journey to a sustainable business transition. Following the principle of the “Hub and Spoke”, the consortium will be interacting with several regional stakeholders in a variety of ways to maximize the impact of the sustainability advisory and capacity building services and to contribute to the promotion of the benefits of sustainable business models among SMEs.
