Description

Description

This project is Phase 2 of a two-phase project to improve access to potable water in the Village of Fundy Albert (formerly the village of Alma), New Brunswick. Phase 2 of the project includes constructing two new wells and new water supply infrastructure. Based on the locations of the test wells, the preliminary concept for the water system upgrades includes approximately 1,600m of new watermain distribution piping, 800m of water transmission main piping, two (2) new water storage reservoirs, three (3) pressure-reducing valve (PRV) stations, a new water booster station, a water pumphouse, and water treatment plant. The project aims to address the recurring boil water advisories and reduce the pumping time of the current well. The project will result in increased access safe and reliable potable water.
