Description | This project will renovate a portion (3,340 S.F.) of a building in downtown Alma for use as a Welcome Center. The Welcome Center will incorporate the original main entrance consisting of main lobby, two offices, bathrooms and one classroom which will be used for public information room/museum. The building's hardwood floors will be retained. The windows will be replaced with pre-finished metal units to match original windows. Historic windows over doors will be reglazed, existing ceilings will be painted, original floors will be stripped, sanded and sealed with polyurethane. New electrical split system heat pumps will be installed. All new plumbing fixtures and electrical will be installed. Driveway and parking spaces with trailhead signs and landscaping will be constructed in front of the building. |
