Description | The overall objective of the project is to promote the implementation of climate change adaptation and resilience strategies and its impact on air quality in the Franco-Italian Alpine valleys. This area, which is particularly vulnerable to the climate crisis, requires local policies and specific levers of action. The project will look at expected changes in emissions, air pollutant concentrations and climate by 2050 and 2070. Simulated climate projections under different emission scenarios will make it possible to know the sensitivity of the territory and the most relevant means of action in the medium and long term. Through the creation of a committee of cross-border experts ALCOTRA Air and Climate, in consultation with local French and Italian decision-makers, climate and air quality monitoring indicators and proposals for action limiting ozone concentrations will be developed and discussed. |
