The purpose of the project is to optimise the operational functioning and the human approach by the various partners, to ensure the best funeral services in terms of quality and price to the cross-border population. To curb the constant increase in cremation costs and address the lack of infrastructure, the partners have developed, improved the management and/or modernised their incineration equipment. A public cross-border crematorium management service is gradually being put in place to improve and harmonise cremation services, and to reduce waiting times for families. This harmonisation involves pooling the facilities and providing qualified teams. The idea is to offer an identical service quality on both sides of the border and to take into account the different customs and practices in each territory.
