Description | AltEnergo LLC developed the first biogas units of 2.4MW in Belgorod region, Russia. The project was expected to generate 19 million kWh annually. The EPC contract is awarded to BD Agro Renewables. BD Agro is a subsidiary of Big Dutchman Group. The project was commissioned in October 2012. Information on power evacuation is unavailable, given the nature of the plant it may be a captured power plant - but this is also collected under the PPIRE methodology. Construction took 9 months. Total project cost was estimated at US$13 million, based on the total cost of three additional (similar) plants being developed by AltEnergo at a cost of US$39 million.
