Alto High-Speed Rail Project

planning/survey phase

Alto is proposing a high-speed rail project connecting Toronto to Quebec City, with the first leg being built between Ottawa and Montreal. Landowners in eastern Ontario and Quebec have received letters requesting permission for land surveys to conduct non-intrusive geological studies for the project. There is opposition from farmers and residents concerned about the impact on their properties and community.
