Description

Description

The novel pandemic significantly affected many sectors, it turned out a huge challenge for business organisations as well as for the employees. Many SMEs have collapsed, likewise, the employees lost their jobs. Spanish business organisations are struggling with the COVID19 measures and their impacts. At the same time, the companies seek to find effective ways to recover and prepare after the pandemic will have passed. This project is initiated by the Spanish employers to develop functioning information, consultation and participation mechanism and support employees to participate in decision-making so that employees can get involved in and find common solutions to address the negative impact of the COVID19 measures. It is crucial to strengthen transnational cooperation between social partners to recover from the damages of the pandemic. The project is focused on win-win approaches of the employees and employers since it enables both employees and employers to exercise their best practice and set up permanent communication and consultation channels inside the companies. The main activity cluster includes establishing Consultation Centers for employees and employers to increase the workers’ participation and employers’ acceptance. Doing so, potential disputes between business organisations and employees will be prevented and resolved while employees’ will be allowed to improve their knowledge and practical skills to ensure their information, participation and consultation rights are respected. Employees’ involvement is desirable for the employers as they are frontline workers who know the job specifications and who might find the best solution for the recovery from COVID19. The action will bring the best practices from various stakeholders on board and establish an effective system that improves access to information, participation, and consultation in undertakings.
