Description
Description | In 2025, Alzheimer Europe (AE) will focus on the following key priorities: 1. AE will give a voice to people with dementia and carers in EU and national policies by involving the European Working Group of People with Dementia and European Dementia Carers Working Group in all operating grant activities and meetings. People with dementia and carers will provide recommendations as to how they should be involved in the development and research into assistive technologies. 2. AE will continue to map EU and national policies and contribute to EU policies. In 2025, the organisation will focus on transport and access to art, culture, sport and tourism, compare national policies and practices for people with dementia and their carers and assess their compliance with the UNCRPD, identify good practices, publish its findings and recommendations in the 2025 Yearbook. 3. AE will continue to focus on capacity building of its national member organisations. It will strive to improve the capacity of its national member organisations to contribute to national and EU disability policies through a series of Alzheimer’s Association Academies. 4. AE will continue to raise awareness about key issues related to dementia by actively disseminating results and achievements of its operating grant activities and by communicating on EU and national policy developments. 5. AE will ensure good governance by involving its Board and members in monitoring and evaluating the association’s activities. The Board and Annual Meeting will be tasked with adopting the 2024 Annual and Financial Report and the 2026 Work Plan and Budget. In addition, the association will review and evaluate its ongoing strategic plan (2021-2025) with the aim of adopting a new Strategic Plan (2026-2030). |
