Description
Description | The project comprises the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of a marina in Amaravati, the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, India. The project will be executed under a 33-year concession period, during which the selected concessionaire will be responsible for the development, management, and upkeep of the marina and its associated facilities to support recreational boating, water sports, tourism, and related activities. The proposed marina will feature an aluminum alloy pontoon system with timber or Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) decking, pile guides, and a minimum capacity of 60 berths for mooring recreational boats. To promote water sports and skill development, the facility will include dedicated training and safety induction centres equipped with classrooms for certification programs in sailing and powerboating, along with safety awareness and training infrastructure. The project also includes the procurement, operation, and maintenance of a fleet comprising 10 power boats/pontoons (minimum 14 ft in length), 6 Optimist sailboats, 2 Laser sailboats, and 2 internationally compliant rescue and safety boats, along with all necessary safety and ancillary equipment. Supporting infrastructure will include a slipway and boat launching facility, electrical power supply and battery charging stations, a boat repair and maintenance workshop, and storage facilities for boats and accessories. To ensure a high-quality visitor experience, the marina will provide shower rooms, changing rooms, and toilet facilities for boat owners, visitors, and tourists. Adequate parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers will be developed in accordance with applicable development regulations. The project will also incorporate landscaped open spaces, refreshment kiosks, drinking water facilities, and a water treatment plant capable of supplying treated water to boats berthed at the marina, thereby supporting sustainable and efficient marina operations. |
