Amazon Water Replenishment and Conservation Initiatives

under implementation

Amazon has launched a water spotlight detailing its water replenishment initiatives and conservation efforts globally. The project includes over 45 water replenishment projects across 14 countries, returning more than 18 billion litres of water annually to communities. It involves watershed restoration, clean water and sanitation infrastructure, and partnerships such as with The Nature Conservancy and the City of Cape Town. Additionally, Amazon has established 31 on-site water treatment facilities at AWS data centres to enable water reuse, including a project expanding recycled water usage in US data centres preserving over 2 billion litres of fresh water annually.
