Description | The 105MW Ambuklao hydroelectric power plants is located in Bokod, Benguet, Philippines. The power plant got operational in 1956 with a total capacity of 75MW. Rehabilitation of its turbines and generators is planned. The fully rehabilitated plant has 3 turbines of 35 MW each with a combined average annual production of about 332 GWh. The financing will be used to repay existing loans, to fund the rehabilitation of both Ambuklao and Binga hydropower plants and for general corporate purposes. The Ambuklao plant has a capacity of 105MW following upgrades. The new loan agreement comprises both a refinancing and extension of the company’s credit facility up to $436.23 million from a group of four lenders, according to local media reports. |
