Description

Description

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) has been awarded a $1 million collaborative agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory ReCell Center to support the commercialization of its advanced lithium processing technology. This technology manufactures lithium hydroxide with reduced chemical agent use, lower operational costs, and lower environmental impact. The project involves utilizing Argonne's Advanced Photon Source particle accelerator and Aurora Exascale Supercomputer for advanced imaging and characterization to quantify the performance of ABTC's electrochemical lithium hydroxide conversion systems. The technology will be integrated into ABTC's critical mineral recycling facilities and a claystone-to-lithium hydroxide refinery near Tonopah, Nevada.
