Amiral Petrochemical Complex Integrated With the SATORP Refinery

The Amiral project is a vast world-scale petrochemical complex integrated with the SATORP refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. It includes a mixed-feed cracker producing 1.65 million tons of ethylene per year, two polyethylene lines each with 500,000 tons per year capacity, and units for extracting butadiene and aromatics. The complex will also supply a specialty chemicals park producing fibers, lubricants, additives, and adhesives. The project aims to convert feedstock from the SATORP refinery and ethane and light naphtha supplied by Saudi Aramco. It focuses on reducing environmental footprint and carbon intensity, with hydrogen replacing methane as fuel in refinery furnaces. The project will create 7,000 local jobs and includes training support from TotalEnergies and Saudi Aramco.
