The trial used an 800G line rate single carrier over live traffic with 400GE clients, providing a capacity of 24 Tb/s per fiber pair with operational margin. The trial was conducted over a 6,234 km distance between Lynn, US, and Bordeaux, France, with spectrum provided by Vodafone. ASN's SMAT3 transponder technology operates at 130 Gbaud and supports capacities up to 1.2 Tb/s per wavelength.
