The plant is expected to create one lakh direct and indirect jobs. The project includes a 50-million-tonne capacity captive port in 316 acres linked to the steel plant with an investment of Rs 11,198 crore, creating another 6,000 jobs. The first phase will have a capacity of 7.3 million tonne per annum and the second phase 10.5 million tonne per annum. Cold rolled steel production is expected to start by December 2028, with the first blast furnace available by June 2030 and the second by December 2030. |
