Description

Description

VotebyVote: Amplifying Migrant Voices in Europe aims to foster inclusive democratic participation by amplifying the voices of migrants and refugees, increasing youth voter turnout, and strengthening civic engagement. The project targets three key groups: (1) young citizens aged 17–25 who are first-/second-time or infrequent voters, (2) migrants and refugees, including long-term residents and naturalised citizens, and (3) public stakeholders such as CSOs, educators, and policymakers. Activities include participatory research, community dialogue sessions, co-creation of national and transnational awareness campaigns, dissemination events, and civic education workshops in high schools and universities. Key outputs include campaign materials per country (videos, posters, and social media carousels), national reports, a transnational co-creation workshop, civic education sessions, a White Paper, and a Final Conference. Implemented across Greece, Cyprus, and Croatia by a migrant-led consortium, the project applies peer-to-peer, participatory, gender-sensitive, and evidence-based approaches. It builds local and transnational bridges between communities, promotes solidarity, and empowers both migrants and young citizens to take ownership of democratic spaces. The project will result in increased understanding of voting rights and barriers, improved civic readiness among youth, and the long-term visibility of migrant voices, contributing to more inclusive narratives and voter participation ahead of the 2029 EU elections.
