Description

Description

“E.C.H.O: Amplifying Youth Voices for a Stronger Europe” is a transnational initiative designed to strengthen youth-led civic engagement across borders, a project which engage more than 1000 young people in a consortium of 9 youth organisations from 9 different countries. By combining cross-border mobility, structured local actions, and a European-wide digital hub, the project creates an ecosystem where young people not only learn from their national contexts but also exchange best practices with peers across Europe. The project’s added value lies in fostering youth participation models from different countries, ensuring that young people's advocacy efforts are connected across national and European levels and sharing intercultural understanding and youth perspectives. “E.C.H.O” is designed to bridge the gap between youth and democratic participation by equipping young people with the skills, knowledge, and platforms to engage in meaningful dialogue and action. The project responds to the urgent need for youth-led initiative in local and European level, structured engagement mechanisms that allow young people to translate the EU Youth Strategy and the 11 Youth Goals into concrete initiatives at the local level. By bringing the EU Youth Strategy and 11 Youth Goals closer to young people, we empower them to see themselves as active citizens, capable of contributing to societal change. It also fosters a stronger sense of European identity and solidarity, EU values, reinforcing that democracy is built not only in parliaments but in everyday participation in their local communities. Ensuring that young people not only learn about these policies but actively use them, means that the principles of youth empowerment, participation, and inclusion become integrated in local decision-making, creating long-lasting impact and a more democratic, youth-friendly society. Through a combination of international youth exchanges, networking with local youth organisations.
