Description | Anakapalli MP Ramesh proposed five key food processing projects to the Union Minister for Food Processing and Industries aimed at transforming the economic landscape of Anakapalli district by adding value for farmers and creating jobs for the youth. The proposals include establishing a common facility centre for pharma-grade jaggery production, a tomato pulping unit, a cashew nut processing cluster, a unit to produce chitosan and collagen from fish waste, and an agro-processing cluster under the PM Kisan Sampada Yojana. These projects aim to improve farmers' income, create jobs, and enhance export capabilities with a regional FSSAI-recognised food testing lab. |
