Description
Description | The primary objective of AIR-Andalusia (AIRA) is to establish and ensure the effective operation of a regional node for the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in Andalusia, Spain. Located in the southern part of the Iberian Peninsula, Andalusia is recognized as a strategic autonomous community and the most populous region of Spain. Air Andalusia serves as a crucial tool to foster the digital transformation of this region, focusing on applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics for SMEs, small-cap and mid-cap companies, and public sector organizations. AIRA aims to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of entities by providing access to various digitalization services designed to improve business processes, products, or services. These services include offerings aimed at perfecting the entire lifecycle from new product development to market entry, along with fostering synergies with other stakeholders within their local and regional development. Additionally, there are available options to fund potential R&D or investment ideas suitable for scaling up tested solutions. The consortium, composed of 20 beneficiaries and one associated partner: the Andalusian regional government (Junta de Andalucía), represented by its Digital Agency (Agencia Digital de Andalucía), is multi-sectoral and diverse enough to cover a wide range of AI and robotics applications across this extensive region. It includes representation of Research & Technology Organizations (RTOs), Universities, Technological Parks, and Entrepreneurial Associations. The emphasis on international connections and integration with the European AI ecosystem, including initiatives like AI Factories, AI Skills Academy, AI-on-demand Platform, and Testing Experimentation Facilities (TEFs), is crucial for achieving the digital goals of the region. |
