Moeve is launching the construction of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley, the largest green hydrogen project in Spain. The project involves installing electrolysis plants with a combined capacity of 2 GW, capable of producing up to 300,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year. The initial phase includes a 400 MW electrolysis plant in Palos de la Frontera, supplying hydrogen for company facilities and third parties. The project will create approximately 10,000 jobs during construction and includes auxiliary infrastructure such as underground power lines and storage plants linked to heavy, maritime, and air transport. It is part of the national strategic plan for renewable energies and is aligned with European objectives for 2030.
