Description

Andersonville Historical Train Depot: 114 Church Street, City of Andersonville, Sumter County, Georgia. This project will renovate the existing Andersonville Train Depot (1,678 SF single story) for use by the City of Andersonville for a Welcome Center and municipal offices. The anticipated scope of work includes: carpentry, replacement of the building’s electrical system and lighting, construction of exterior pedestrian ramps and decking for ADA access to the building, HVAC, plumbing, reconfiguration of existing storage and restrooms to construct work space and staff restroom facilities, selective replacement of existing doors and windows, insulation, drywall, interior painting and floor covering/refinishing. The overhanging roof structure on the west side of the building is to remain and is to be extended some 28' to the north to cover the new restroom addition. Existing exterior finishes are to remain (roof shingles, windows and vertical board and batten wood siding).
