As a mountainous and agricultural region, Hunan Province and Anhua District in particular are very slow to develop successful industrial structures. This is one of the reasons why around 70% of Anhua Junior College graduates seek employment in other provinces. The provincial government and district administration are trying to counteract this trend and offer young people prospects for the future. The majority of the FC loan (67%) will finance modern equipment for Anhua Junior College. 30% of the funds will be made available for the construction of new buildings as part of the campus expansion. In addition, EUR 1 million from the loan (around 3%) will be used to design and implement an innovative component (Entrepreneur Development Center) tailored to the needs of the school. The project makes a positive contribution to increasing the supply of qualified specialists for the local and regional labor market; to expanding and strengthening the quality of vocational training and to a strict focus on current needs; to exchange and increased cooperation with local companies in industry.
