Anhui Road Maintenance Innovation and Demonstration Project

The objective of the Anhui Road Maintenance Innovation and Demonstration Project for China is to improve highway maintenance delivery and asset management capacity in the participating municipalities and county in Anhui Province. The project will focus its activities in six selected jurisdictions in Anhui Province, the municipalities of Hefei, Chuzhou, Suzhou, Anqing, and Xuancheng and Guangde County. The project comprises five components: Component A focuses on providing better systems for decision making and reforming business processes to ensure that these improved systems translate into better decisions; component B focuses on improving maintenance delivery through better contracting models and improving work quality and value for money; component C focuses on improving maintenance delivery through better technologies and thus increasing value for money; component D focuses on reducing the time taken to respond to emergency events and restoring road service promptly; and component E focuses on providing relevant training to stakeholders.
