The project consists of the construction of a two story community facility with a 10,000 square foot building footprint in the Town of Deer Lake. The scope of the project includes - the construction of a wood frame/steel stud barrier wall complete with concrete foundation - the construction of a second level pedestrian access way to the existing Hodder memorial Recreation Complex - the facility will provide 15,000 square feet of meeting/gym/multipurpose space, including a combination walking track, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, floor hockey, and badminton courts. The project aims to provide a facility that will be accessible to all including access to the second level (and existing Hodder Memorial Recreation complex) by elevator. The project will benefit the community by improving access to community and recreational infrastructure.
