Executive Summary The Public Affairs Section (PAS) at the U.S. Consulate General in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is pleased to announce a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. This program aims to strengthen cultural, educational, professional, and scientific ties between the United States and Saudi Arabia. The grants, ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, will support projects that highlight shared values, strengthen people-to-people ties, and promote bilateral cooperation. Goals and Objectives: • Strengthen Cultural and Educational Ties: Programs should foster relationships between U.S. and Saudi institutions, promote English language learning, and support cultural exchanges. • Promote Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship: Initiatives should focus on economic development, entrepreneurship, and inclusion, particularly for women and youth. • Preserve Cultural Heritage: Projects should aim to conserve cultural heritage using innovative technologies. • Enhance Media Literacy and Counter Misinformation: Programs should improve media literacy and critical thinking, supporting Saudi media in countering misinformation. • Support the Saudi Film Industry: Initiatives should provide training in filmmaking, fostering collaboration between Saudi and U.S. filmmakers. Target Audience: • Youth (14-35 years old) • First-generation university students • Alumni of U.S. government-funded exchange programs • Women and disabled persons • Minority or geographically marginalized groups • Educators, media practitioners, policy makers, civil society organizations, and entrepreneurs Funding Details: • Grant Amounts: $10,000 to $50,000 • Funding Instruments: Grant, Fixed Amount Award (FAA), or Cooperative Agreement 5 • Performance Period: 9-18 months • Project and Budget Periods: Continuation grants may be considered based on satisfactory progress and availability of funds.
