Description

The Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs (EAP) at the U.S. Department of State announce the Notice of Funding Opportunity to provide program development and support for an annual one-day symposium to discuss the chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The purpose of this award is to plan, develop and implement an annual symposium involving U.S. Government officials, academics, students, NGOs and private sector representatives to discuss the ASEAN chairmanship in order to glean lessons-learned and/or best practices from the outgoing Chair and to build the capacity of incoming officials on the range of international issues facing ASEAN, as well as the duties involved with serving as the Chair. This award would provide funding for one symposium in fall 2016 and one in fall 2017.
