Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center plans to build a new psychiatric facility to replace a 1950s-era, dormitory-style facility in Anoka, Minnesota. The project will increase inpatient psychiatric capacity to 146 beds, offering trauma-informed treatment environments, enhanced patient privacy, and improved safety for staff and patients. Treatment spaces will include group therapy rooms, sensory regulation spaces, clinical consultation areas, and secure outdoor recreation zones, with approximately 85% of interior spaces having access to natural daylight.
