Description | An automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) parking system has been introduced across all hospital sites managed by Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WWL). The ticketless system records entry time using number plate recognition technology and requires payment before leaving. It includes 30 minutes of free parking for quick visits, supports blue badge holders with free parking, and has new payment machines installed. Additionally, a new multistorey car park on Freckleton Street near the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary is on track to open later this year. |
