Antofagasta highway concession Project

The highway considers the extension to double carriageway of Route 1, between the north of Antofagasata and south access to Mejillones with the extension to double carriageway of Route 5 between Uribe and Carmen Alto.  The scheme also involves the improvement in simple roadway of Route 1, between south access and north access to Mejillones, Route 5 between sector La Negra and Uribe, as well as route B400.  The concession plan contemplates the improvement of route 26, the southern access of Antofagasta, where third tracks will continue in the sectors of strong pendeintes, in a length of 12 kilometers.  Among the works comprised in the new concession stand out the improvement of existing structures and the construction of intersections and uneven structures, works of sanitation, signaling, and road safety, lighting, pedestrian walkways, bus stops, service streets and routes marked.  In the same way, the project considers the conservation and maintenance of both new and existing works, during the entire period of the concession.
